2026 Tournament Schedule

• 2/22/26 1st Annual Ice Fishing Classic. Sunday February 22nd on Skogman lake from 10am-2pm We will be using the FISHDONKEY app to log your fish in. Make sure to download it to your phone and WATCH ALL THE VIDEOS on how to properly log fish. Improper or unreadable pictures will result in fish being denied, Use a HIGH contrast bump board for best results. There will be a lot of prizes being donated to this event. I was informed there will be a clam shell donated for a Grand prize! There will be a map available on the fishdonkey app on the tournament once you log in all rules will be there too. (by sat Jan 31st) YOU MUST BE PAID UP FOR THIS YEAR TO RECIEVE ANY PRIZES!!!!!

  You can have parents, siblings, and one friend (guest) participate if you are registered and paid for this year. Only paid-up students of the fishing team will receive prizes. There may be something else available for other participants. TBD

Notes:

Thursday March 5th at practice you will be given your Heggies pizza form for the fundraiser. As discussed at practice your spot on the team will be determined by you and your partners pizza sales. If you do not want to sell any pizzas, then you can buy out of the fundraiser for $300 per student. just keep in mind you may have to fish in the fish-in tournament on green lake for a spot on the competitive team. Juniors will be required to sell also as they receive benefits from the high school team.

The Minnesota DNR has opened CATCH AND IMMEDIATELY RELEASE Bass fishing year round so we no longer have to go to Wisconsin for early fishing.

Get your boats out of storage and water ready! and buy your fishing license if you need one.

WINTER PRACTICE STARTED FEBRUARY 19TH!

We will be meeting at the Highschool from 6-8pm.

If you are new to the team, please bring all your fishing gear you use when out on the lake fishing on a boat for inspection. if you have 10 poles don't bring all of them. Just a bait caster and spinning rod. New parents can get any questions answered and are welcome at all practices. If you would like to practice casting you are welcome to do so. Closer to spring when it warms up outside, I can give you backing a boat up instructions in the parking lot. You WILL need to bring YOUR boat.
